I've been avoiding the blog so that I could stick to the old adage 'if you don't have anything good to say don't say anything at all'. It's the time of year....I feel like the cat, relentlessly meowing at the window to go out on his kitty deck but chickening out because it's too cold. I guess it's spring fever. I generally start wondering why I live here about now. It's actually a rather lovely day out sun-wise, but the restlessness inside me doesn't really want to admit it.
We've been having a sale here, we started in conjunction with the Spa Knit & Spin event happening at the Doubletree Hotel this past weekend. Maniacal knitters and spinners from all over New England and beyond attend this thing. It's crazy! The shop looks like locusts came and ate up the yarn, leaving holes here and there. Time to reorder. I'm hoarding some Euroflax that just came and thinking about making a sleeveless top with it. I think I'm finally at the point where I'm content to work on one or two things at a time, rather than starting a million new projects and leaving them strewn about, never to be finished. My turtleneck for Judy's class (the turtle part is big - like what's her name's sweater on Scooby-Doo) is coming along, despite lots of ripping out and reworking. It has been an education. You may be wondering why I talk about all these knitting projects without putting more pictures here...the sad truth is that I am so technologically challenged that even though Josh has demonstrated several times I can't remember how to do it. Duh. Actually I'm not so much challenged as not interested in that particular process...being interested in something is what makes people really good at things like fixing cars or cooking or knitting for that matter.
